Cellulite Reduction & Removal Treatments

The Cellulite Investigation explores natural remedies for cellulite, including anti-cellulite diet, massage, herbs and oils, natural hormonal balance, and more. Having cellulite doesn’t mean you are overweight. Even thin people can have it. If you are overweight, however, losing weight may reduce cellulite. Cellulite is most common around the thighs and buttocks, but it can be found on the breasts, lower abdomen and upper arms as well. Cellulite can have many causes, including excessive fat accumulation and shortened dermofascial fibers within the soft tissue. It appears that cellulite is observable in women of all races. Studies involving women from China, South Africa, Egypt, Brazil, United States, Canada, Mexico, Afghanistan, Russia, Japan, Thailand and Indonesia all report cellulite in women.

There are several therapies that have been suggested to remove cellulite, but none have been supported in the scientific or medical literature. Losing pounds and strengthening muscles in your legs, thighs, buttocks and abdomen can improve the appearance of the dimpled skin. The basis of most of the herbal treatments is to enhance the microcirculation in the dermis area. It is interesting to note that research has shown a slight decrease in thigh girth with herbal treatments but a return to normal when the application ceased. You see, treating cellulite requires a systematic approach that involves a few different products and a few lifestyle modifications. Many women feel that cellulite is their destiny – they may have family members with cellulite or have been told that cellulite is just to be accepted.

Don’t waste your money on cellulite lotions either since topical creams can’t penetrate the three layers of skin to eliminate the fat. Although there’s no shortage of treatments claiming to reduce cellulite, including special diets and lymphatic drainage massage to reduce ‘toxins’, does anything actually work. Cellulite is stored in subcutaneous fat in the hypodermis, and this is also where appetite-regulating hormones – leptin, the appetite suppressor, and ghrelin, the appetite increaser – are produced. Cellfina uses mechanical subcision and works by cutting tissue bands (with the tiniest scalpel—there’s no bleeding and barely any bruising) in the fat under the skin to smooth out dimpling. Subcision, a surgical technique where a tiny blade or laser cannula cuts the fibrous septae, is the treatment of choice for those looking for an invasive treatment. However it can be expensive and causes short-term bruising.

The price of cellulite treatment varies for each person depending on the extent of treatment necessary. The female hypodermis consists of small ‘recesses’ separated by parallel walls (septa). Get rid of cellulite naturally: Due to fat and water which accumulate in these recesses, the walls are compressed, damaging the microcirculation and the natural form of the cell. Visibly improve the appearance of skin with the Shrink To Fit Cellulite Smoother from Mio Skincare, a moisturising cream developed to smoothen uneven, bumpy areas. The Burn is my new radio frequency treatment for the body that melts fat and improves cellulite in problem areas. It uses heat and radio waves to push collagen fibers back together and to trigger collagen production for increased elasticity over time. You’ll probably need at least six sessions, which cost $50 to $150 each; the (subtle) results could last up to a few months.

I’d like to tell you that getting rid of cellulite is a quick remedy away but that’s not quite accurate. One theory is that the decline of gelatin containing foods in our diets has led to an increase in cellulite as we don’t have the needed building blocks for healthy connective tissue. How to lose cellulite on legs: A diet high in antioxidants – vitamins A, C and E, plus selenium, manganese, zinc and copper – can help to prevent the cell damage that leads to cellulite. Cigarette smoke has been shown to reduce blood vessel flow and to weaken and disrupt the formation of collagen, allowing for the connective tissue to become stretched and damaged more easily and for underlying fat to show through. Dark leafy greens like spinach, chard, and kale are also rich in fiber, antioxidants, and minerals that promote healthier skin, faster cell regeneration, improved circulation, and more efficient fat metabolism.

Cellulite is caused by specific bands from the muscle to the skin that create dimpling. Cellulite treatments that work: Cellfina selectively release the bands that cause the cellulite, revealing long-term results.. NASA discovered Red Light Therapy and while the beds look exactly like tanning ones, these use only infrared lights to increase blood circulation, skin tightening and minimizing pores. The darker your skin, the less noticeable cellulite will be, as the shadows caused by the dimpling will be less obvious. Bikini season is in full swing and that leaves many of us looking to fight that cellulite. Start lifting weight. And if you already lift weight? Keep doing so! Because cardio isn’t going to get rid of all your cellulite. (Nothing is going to get rid of all your cellulite.)
