What Really Works for Cellulite?

Cellulite may be more visible than fat deeper in the body. Everyone has layers of fat under the skin so even thin people can have cellulite. Having cellulite doesn't mean you are overweight. Even thin people can have it. If you are overweight, however, losing weight may reduce cellulite. Cellulite isn't a serious medical condition, and treatment isn't necessary. Since cellulite is largely due to a structural conformation below the skin, it is often common in very slender women. It appears that cellulite is observable in women of all races. Studies involving women from China, South Africa, Egypt, Brazil, United States, Canada, Mexico, Afghanistan, Russia, Japan, Thailand and Indonesia all report cellulite in women.

Weight loss — through healthy eating and regular exercise — is probably the most beneficial cellulite treatment. Sunbathing in the actual sun will only make cellulite worse. UV rays damage your skin by breaking down the collagen and elastin network, making cellulite more visible. The retinoid-based creams have been shown to increase the denseness of the epidermis to facial skin when applied for years. At this time, no large-scale studies have been published on topical retinoids for cellulite removal. The very hormone which helps us relax during pregnancy decreases production of collagen, which is the protein which helps keeps skin elastic and strong. Many women feel that cellulite is their destiny – they may have family members with cellulite or have been told that cellulite is just to be accepted.

Many devices, products and creams claim to treat cellulite. But there is little or no scientific evidence to support these claims. Buckwheat is a slow-burning, easily digestible whole grain that, in addition to being a complete protein, is also rich in B vitamins and fiber. If you feel that reducing the appearance of your cellulite isn’t something you really care about? Hey, that’s totally cool, too. s diet experts, we're here to give you the lowdown on what foods and healthy eating habits you can adopt to zap that pesky fat for good. Most of us live stressful lives as we try to balance our work and personal lives. In stressful situations the inflammatory stress hormone cortisol is released and research has proven that people with elevated cortisol levels are more likely to have cellulite. The female hypodermis consists of small 'recesses' separated by parallel walls (septa). Due to fat and water which accumulate in these recesses, the walls are compressed, damaging the microcirculation and the natural form of the cell. Endermologie, which is available at many spas, involves kneading the skin with a rolling suction device to boost circulation and stimulate collagen production. Machines to treat cellulite include vacuum rolling and radio waves to break up the fat. The first one of them on the market was Endermologie. Results are long-term, and the procedure is expected to cost from $2,500 to $3,000 per area.

Swimming and cycling are also great exercises to try if you want to combat cellulite. Endermologie may temporarily improve the appearance of dimpled areas, but the procedure is time-consuming and expensive. Liposuction may permanently help in some cases. NASA discovered Red Light Therapy and while the beds look exactly like tanning ones, these use only infrared lights to increase blood circulation, skin tightening and minimizing pores. Many different eating plans claim to beat cellulite but there's no miracle cure - eating watermelon for three days won't make your thighs dimple - free. Any of your citrusy fruits are just great for that. Foods high in Omega 3 such as salmon and mackerel are excellent as well.
